A Tailgate Football Party Game – aka Flipside Football
This game takes a next generation twist on the classic game of Paper Football only it takes it to the next level, requiring an interactive Run Pass Option Offense and Man Cover or Zone Defense. It’s more like real football!
Flipside Football is the ultimate tabletop football party game experience. It has become one of our family’s favorites. If you’ve played the original paper football game at school, perhaps when you were bored, you are going to love how often you will want to play Flipside Football, even when you are not bored.
You will not likely find other sports enthusiasts (Especially in the age range of 10-15, though it can appeal even to us older adult kids for its nostalgia and adrenaline rush), who do not like playing this game whenever given the chance. We haven’t! Fans line up for it at festivals and fairs, running off exclaiming “that’s awesome,” and then come back the next day to buy their own when their parent’s can’t get them to stop talking about it.
Flipside Football is tried, tested and proven. It has been entertaining recreation for our own family and friends for years and years. And now we are thrilled to bring it to you, practically for free. We’re sure it will be a hit for your sports fans, too!
We expect you’ll like how each game played feels different than the last. It’s a fun way to learn the concepts of real football. You’ll notice your paper football (or finger football) skills going to a whole new level of excitement. What we like best about it is that it is not your basic turn-based board game. It is an intense game of continuous strategy against opponents who only get better as they play. It takes great eye-hand coordination. But kids of all skill levels can play effectively.
Younger kids like to rush for yardage with their running back, by rolling the player roll down field away from tackles and fumbles. As older kids develop great flicking skills they like to make precision passes for yardage to their receiver, flicking the football close to their player roll but out of reach of interceptions. There is rushing, passing, kick-offs, punts, field goals, extra points, two point conversions, touchdowns, and almost anything else you can think of from a full regular football game. Set the amount of time for quarters to your liking to play a quick game or a long game.
You can play Flipside Football on the carpet, on a table (pool tables work great), or even on the lawn at a picnic or tailgate party. Have a football party in your home, watch your favorite team, and then at halftime clear the food from your football themed tablecloth and play some Flipside Football. It also doubles as a great football themed birthday party setting and or birthday gift.
